Black Buck Resort is The Property of Jungle Lodges and Resorts Ltd, Govt. of Karnataka

To make your stay comfortable, the resort has 18 aesthetic air-conditioned cottages dotting the periphery of the lake. Thoughtfully designed with thatched roofs to suit the local weather, the cottages are available in three categories; each one boasting of different sizes and a unique view of the pristine lake.

The Blackbuck Resort is home to a large number of blackbucks, peacocks, black – naped hares, wild boars and langurs. To give company to these animals are a variety of birds: be it sandgrouses, doves, robins, red-vented bulbuls, treepies or kites. A walk around the lake will introduce you to cormorants, kingfishers, egrets and spot-billed ducks.

Guests are treated to a sumptuous spread of Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The local specialities include North Karnataka’s Jolada Rotti (Maize roti) and Qurbani Meetha. Continental dishes too are available on request. All meals are served buffet style in the open-to-sides gazebo.

Anytime is a good time to visit the resort. However, the surroundings are lush and the weather is at its best between October and February. This is a good time for bird watching and outdoor activities. From March to mid June, the days are dry and sultry and nights cool and pleasant. The heat dissipates soon after the showers, in the months of July, August and September.
